# 2XU Ignition Shield Compression Tights

**Verdict:** A compressive thermal tight with a weather-blocking membrane over the thighs. Three review outlets found it warm in snow and wind, but it runs snug, feels stiff where the membrane is, and gets too warm on milder days.

- **Best for:** Cold, wet or windy runs where the thighs take the weather, for runners who like a compressive fit.
- **Not for:** Runs above about 40°F, or anyone who dislikes a tight, compressive fit.
- **Downsides:** Runs small, with a snug waistband; Membrane panels cut breathability and feel stiff; Hard to pull over the ankles (Treeline)

## What reviewers say

- Scored it 86% as a compressive winter option. The reviewer liked the zip pocket, reflective details and water-resistant upper, but found it too warm in milder weather and said it slipped down while running. - Named it Best Reflective (7.9/10). Oversized reflective logos stood out, and the waterproof thigh panels handled snow and wind. It runs slightly small with a snug waistband. - Tested without an award. Treeline found it warm and better suited below 40°F, but said the waterproof upper limits breathability and feels stiff. It was also hard to pull over the ankles, and the crotch seams could chafe.
